I decided to build the Geddes' a new house. Not just expand on what was there, or use another house as a base and change it to suit them. I packed their important things into Cordelia's inventory, moved them out, and bulldozed their lot. I put a slightly larger lot in its place, moved them into it, then had them go on a hike so they would be out of the way. The design I had in mind seemed simple. Greenhouse walls, at least two floors, and a little more shape than just a box. It took forever. I've finally gotten the outside walls in place, the non-greenhouse walls covered, and a roof in the right place on each level. One of my cat's stepped on the computer's power button, so that may be all I have done. I saved sometime after I finished the roof because I hadn't saved since I loaded the lot and my mind would have exploded had I lost what I'd done up to that point. I don't remember exactly how much was done before I saved, but everything just after the roof can quickly be done again. Still. Maybe I need to set the power button to do nothing just before I start a game, then change it back afterward.
