Lately, I've been working on the core 13 families in Legacy Valley. I've just got to play one more family for a sim week, and then I can send all the teens to university. First, I had to move them into a better house. The one they've been living in is pretty, but not very playable. I had to move the Geddes family into a new house, too, since I knocked down their old house and built them a horrible new one. I found two great houses by Bitsy at Boolprop.com in her 1920's Homes thread. I moved the Geddes family into The Cromberg and the Woosters into The Chantilly. Then, I started playing the Woosters. I haven't really had to move anything to make the house more playable. I've taken out some things so I can fit the few items then brought from their old house, like career rewards, redecorated Rosina and Lucian's bedroom to fit their style, put the alarm clocks from MATY by each bed, and turned one of the basement rooms into a pet room for the cat and bird. I like giving cats and dogs their own room with a door so they have somewhere to escape from visitors. I don't want to mess with the house too much, but I am going to change bits here and there without really moving anything around. The only problem is that people tend to get stuck in one corner after getting up from the mahjong table. I may be able to fix this with some walk around blocks, but I'm not sure. As for actual playing, nothing much has happened. Flavius got a job in the adventure career, since his lifetime want is to be a space pirate like his parents. He also started going steady with Hetta Walter. Fortunatus wants to be a city planner, but he hasn't found a job in architecture yet. Percy, the servo, is about to fall in love with an Apartment Life townie named La Shawn Cameron. His aspiration is family, so he keeps rolling up wants to fall in love and get married. I won't move him out, but I might let him move someone in. Rosina and Lucian are permaplat, so I just leave them alone most of the time. As long as they get to work every day, I don't care. I can't wait to finally start on the next generation.
